    McDermott and McGough

    American artists David McDermott and Peter McGough both studied at Syracuse University, New York. They have been collaborating since 1980. Employing historical photographic processes, their practice considers popular culture, concepts of time, religion, fashion, medicine and sexual behaviour. McDermott and McGough have exhibited at venues including the Frankfurt Art Association and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. A retrospective of their photographic work was held at IMMA in 2008.
