    Marie Foley, b.1959

    Irish sculptor Marie Foley attended the Crawford College of Art, Cork, Goldsmiths College, London and Cardiff College of Art. Her sculptural works combine wood, metal, stone, glass, porcelain and salvaged materials to ideas of past and present and the material and metaphysical world. Foley was the first artist to have a solo exhibition at IMMA in 1991. Her work has been included in numerous group and solo exhibitions internationally. She became a member of Aosdána in 1996.
