Patrick Michael Fitzgerald’s work demonstrates the dynamism of material in contemporary practice. The contoured layout created by the overlay of white on white in ‘Swarms the Moth’ creates a meshwork whereupon the artist transposes his memories. A strong linearity to the work also speaks of timelines and the immediacy of painting.
