British sculptor Antony Gormley works with elemental materials such as lead, iron, clay and steel, and often casts his own body as the starting point for a phenomenological or 'psycho-spatial' experience. Increasingly Gormley has created large-scale installations, often outside the gallery, which engage the public in active participation. Gormley has exhibited internationally, including a major solo exhibition at IMMA in 1994.View Artist
