    Philip Flanagan b.1960

    Northern Irish artist Philip Flanagan attended Camberwell College, London. He worked in sculpture before turning to abstract painting. Flanagan’s paintings contain an underlying sculptural feel through the composition and layers of colour applied. Flanagan received First Prize for Painting at Queen’s University Belfast in 2004. His work is held in major collections including University College Dublin; Dublin Writers’ Museum; the Ulster Museum, Belfast, and Queen’s University, Belfast.
