Mexican artist Alfonso Monreal studied architecture at Guanajuato University before moving to Paris where he worked at Atelier 17 with renowned printmaker William Hayter. Monreal moved to Ireland in 1982. He lectured at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, and the University of Ulster, Belfast. Monreal has received awards in Mexico and Ireland and is a member of Aosdána. His work is included in the collections of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Ulster Museum, Belfast.View Artist
