Elizabeth Magill’s atmospheric paintings draw on the landscapes of Northern Ireland to construct imagined terrains shaped by memory and feeling. She builds her compositions through a process of layering and erasure until she achieves the desired mood. The resulting works are psychological interpretations of landscape, resonant with deeply subjective visions of place.
