About the Artist

Diarmuid Delargy, b.1958

Irish artist Diarmuid Delargy studied at the Slade School of Art, London. Working in painting, printmaking and sculpture, Delargy explores ideas of the natural word and extinction in relation to art. He has also completed a suite of prints based on writings by Samuel Beckett and collaborated with the poet Paul Muldoon. Delargy has exhibited nationally and internationally since the 1980s. He is a member of Aosdána, the Royal Society of Painter/Printmakers and the Royal Ulster Academy.
