Mexican artist Roberto Donís attended the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado. An extensive traveller, he lived in Paris between 1962 and 1963, and New York between 1966 and 1969 where he became influenced by abstract expressionism. Donís returned to Mexico in 1970 and was made director of the Escuela de Bellas Artes at Universidad Autónoma Benito Juárez in 1972. He taught at the Taller de Artes Plásticas Rufino Tamayo from 1974. Donís gave up paining in the mid 1980’s.View Artist
