Irish artist Timothy Hawkesworth studied history and political science at Trinity College Dublin. In 1987 he received his MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts/Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1972 and 1974 he won the Trinity College Art Award and in 2002 was awarded a Ballinglen Arts Foundation Fellowship. Hawkesworth has been living, teaching and exhibiting in the US for nearly three decades.
