Irish painter Sean Fingleton studied English and Philosophy at University College Dublin and art at Letterkenny Regional Technical College and the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Many of Fingleton’s landscape and seascape paintings are completed en plein air. Fingleton’s contribution to Irish Art has been regularly acknowledged and he has received a number of awards including the Independent Artists Painting Bursary, the Guinness Peat Aviation Emerging Artists Award, and the Fergus O'Ryan RHA Memorial Award. Fingleton is an elected member of Aosdána.
