American painter and film maker Sarah Morris (born 1967) attended Brown University, Jesus College, Cambridge University and the Whitney Museum of Art Independent Study Program. Taking as their subject the architectural and psychological structures of urban environments, Morris’s abstract paintings and films have been exhibited extensively since the mid 1990s. Her work is held in major public and private collections worldwide, including that of the Centre Pompidou, Paris; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Saatchi Collection, London; Tate Modern, London; and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
