Artist Karen Tam lives and works in Montréal and London where she is a doctoral candidate at Goldsmiths’ Centre for Cultural Studies, University of London. Tam received her BFA from Concordia University in Montréal in 2000 and her MFA in Sculpture from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2002. She has exhibited extensively since 1999 and in 2004 participated in IMMA’s Artist Residency Programme. Her work can be found in private and public collections, including that of IMMA, the Canada Council for the Arts Art Bank, Concordia University, Alarm Gallery.
