Irish artist Joseph O’Connor (born 1936) studied medicine at University College Dublin and then art at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and Regent Street Polytechnic and Chelsea School of Art in London. O’Connor first exhibited his work at Project Gallery, Dublin. He showed with the Independent Artists group and at the Irish Exhibition of Living Art and the Royal Hibernian Academy. His work is represented in the collections of The Ulster Museum, Belfast, The Arts Council of Ireland, and the Office of Public Works.
