American photographer Diana Michener attended Barnard College, New York, the Sorbonne in Paris and the New School for Social Research, New York. Michener’s photographic work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in collections including the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris; the Princeton University Art Museum; and the Whitney Museum of Modern Art, New York. A travelling retrospective exhibition took place in the Gallery of Photography, Dublin, in 2001.
