Studio 12
August 2008 – January 2009
Photography, installation, mixed media
Since 1999 Charlotte Moth has developed a photographic Travelogue that uncovers an itinerancy concerned with a phenomenological reading of architectural spaces. The Travelogue creates a conceptual framework, where a relativity of speed and slowness between image and thought can be developed on parallel levels through the build up of images, sites and through various forms of externalisation of the images, revealing interests that surface within them, such as the questioning of the specificity of place, or the atmosphere that is contained or revealed through an image, where a range of sculptural concerns are explored.
Recent exhibitions in 2008 include Carte Blanche à Charlotte Moth, Gallery Lucile Corty, Paris, France; Pavillon 7, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, France, and The Unfair Fair, Rome, Italy. Past residencies include Le Pavillon, session 07/08, Paris, and from Jan 2005 to Dec 2006, researcher in Fine Art at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. Recent awards include Grants for the Arts, Arts Council England.
