Northern Irish artist and writer Brian Kennedy studied Fine Art at the Belfast College of Art. Kennedy’s work focuses on large-scale site-specific installations but also includes photography, performance and drawing. In 2002 Kennedy was the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Fellow at the British School at Rome. He served as chairperson of Belfast’s Art and Research Exchange. He is also a board member of the Fire Station Artists’ Studios in Dublin and the Golden Thread Gallery Belfast. Kennedy has written widely about art both nationally and internationally and is a contributing editor of Circa magazine.
