This tour is led by Sandra Murphy, a member of IMMA’s Visitor Engagement Team and an amateur wildlife photographer and Birder. This easy one-hour walking tour will explore part of the 48-acre IMMA and RHK site which includes the Meadows and Formal Gardens, to observe the birds, plants, and pollinating insects. Hand lenses and magnifying glasses will be provided. 

Places for this tour are limited to seven. Book early to avoid disappointment!

Our popular outdoor yoga sessions return to the scenic Formal Gardens. Suitable for attendees of any age and ability.  The classes offer an oasis of calm and wellness in the heart of the city. 

With 40 years of experience in teaching yoga, relaxation, meditation and embodiment practices, Paola brings a contagious joy of movement and a wide range of techniques to suit diverse needs. Paola’s interest in experiential anatomy, embodied philosophy, storytelling, and visualisation, make these classes a tonic for the body, mind, and soul. 

Important information: Please wear comfortable clothes and bring your own yoga mat. Avoid eating a full meal before the class. Please contact the facilitator in advance of attending a class to inform her of any health issue that may be relevant to the practice of yoga.

To all new parents out there, we are inviting you to come to IMMA and join us for Parent & Baby Hour at the Museum. Join our Visitor Engagement Team in the gallery for a relaxed tour and discussion about artworks featured in our current exhibitions.

Location: Meet by the People’s Pavilion

Join IMMA Horizons Curator Bairbre-Ann Harkin and walk and talk through IMMA’s gardens, sharing thoughts about a small selection of outdoor works from the permanent collection during this slow art tour.

This 45 minute tour is free and open to all, no experience necessary. Booking is recommended. The tour will begin outside IMMA’s People’s Pavilion on the Front Lawn and weave its way through the grounds at a slow and relaxed pace.

Talking Art Outdoors is part of IMMA Horizons – IMMA Horizons aims to contribute to new thinking on how creativity can positively impact health and wellbeing through programming and partnerships. We provide creative opportunities for adults to meet and explore art together at a relaxed pace.
