IMMA welcomes back The Mothership Project as part of a series of short studio research supports provided to the network over the last couple of years. The Mothership Project aims to support parenting artists in the development of their practice and to encourage arts organisations to make the art world a more inclusive place for artists with children. Sandra Johnston's performances are experiential in nature, based on improvisational processes that explore physical states of responsiveness, formed in relation to the actualities of specific situations and the moment of making. Johnston previously had a residency at IMMA in 2000 and is back for a short production residency nominated by The Project Art Centre. View Artist »
Painter Margaret Corcoran pushes the boundaries between past, present, personal and historical narratives. Her new series of works explore where identity and nationality are addressed against a backdrop of Colonialism and the great beauty and complexities of European Art.
