Opportunities for Arts Individuals and Groups

IMMA Open

IMMA's residency has a yearly open call to receive applications from artists, curators, critics, cultural programmers etc. Opportunities for 2015 are now closed and the next deadline will be announced in Spring 2015.

IMMA Invited

IMMA will continue to programme artists nominated through professional recommendations from partner institutions and projects.

IMMA Emerging

The Museum will see the start of a new mentoring award for a selected recent undergraduate in the field of visual arts. Selection criteria and eligibility will be available on IMMA’s website in the near future.

Opportunities for Arts Organisations / Curators / Cultural Programmers 


IMMA’s National Production Residencies

IMMA invites national visual arts organisations to propose artists who may be interested in working at the Museum for a focused period of time leading to a specific exhibition / project with the nominating venue. This new area of programming has already supported projects with Eva Kotátková and the Project Arts Centre, Temple Bar Galleries + StudiosDavid Horvitz and Nastio Mosquito with Limericks EVA International and Amanda Coogan with the RHA. Further partnerships will be announced throughout the year.

IMMA’s International Residency Partnerships 

IMMA is continuing developments to consolidate international exchange partnerships with a view to announcing two new opportunities for arts practitioners to live and work with established international partners.

IMMA Fellowship Residency

IMMA is delighted to support a visiting Research Fellow in collaboration with MA Art in the Contemporary World, NCAD.

International Visitors Programme

IMMA and  the Project Arts Centre are continuing to bring prominent international curators to Dublin for focused studio visits with emerging and established artists working in Ireland. This new initiative is kindly supported by Culture Ireland.

We would like to thank those who are kindly supporting the Museums residency including the Goethe-Institut Irland, Alliance Française Dublin, Culture Ireland and other partners connecting with the programme through individuals participating on the residency.
